Hi there, nice to meet you!

My name is Katie and I am the owner of The Cookie Stamp Co. I live with my long-term boyfriend, our little boy Jake and our dog Harley! I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Forensic Psychology. Covid hit the month I graduated with my Master's degree and I didn't feel it was safe putting my one year old son in nursery so I could return to work. I therefore decided to put my career plans on hold and I enjoyed being a stay at home Mum. It gave me the opportunity to spend so much more time with my son, which I felt made up for the fact I started my masters degree when he was only 4 months old. I could never have anticipated that this break would result in me starting my own business, which allowed me to spend so much more time with my little boy. It has meant over the past couple of years I am always there before he goes to school, when he gets home from school, and I can work flexible hours to attend any school events like nativity plays. As a parent, that is priceless, and how lucky am I that I can do this, let alone in a job that makes me so happy!

"Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life."

In 2020 during the pandemic, I started baking thank you biscuits for the NHS. It wasn't long before donations started pouring in from people wanting me to send out more & more biscuits to different hospitals. At this point I needed a stamp as my hands were beyond tired from stamping individual letters. I purchased a few different designs and found myself wanting more & more. Having always been into design and tech, I decided I wanted to learn how to make stamps of my own. I purchased my first 3D printer and started making biscuits for friends & family too. I ended up loving the design aspect so much more than I could have ever realised, and decided to sell a few stamps on Etsy. I could never have anticipated what was to come next. I became so busy that in March 2021 I opened my own website and was working 14-18 days, 7 days a week to keep up with orders. It wasn't long before I had several printers and a laser engraving machine so big it took up an entire room in my home. A few years have passed now, and I still count myself lucky that I have a job that doesn't feel like work. I am incredibly grateful for all the customers who have supported me along the way and can't wait to meet new ones too!
